God's Healing Way
By: Mary Ann McNeilus, M.D
Be inspired to look to God as the great Healer, and value simple remedies as priceless as you study through this down-to-earth, yet profound medical missionary guide prepared for you by Dr. McNeilus.
If you desire better health or are suffering from illness, God’s Healing Way is for you! Recognizing that God is the Master Physician, God’s Healing Way outlines the health principles set forth in the Bible that facilitate maximum health. Natural remedies for the treatment of illness are discussed and practical instruction for their application is given. This unique combination of biblical health principles and natural remedies is truly God’s Healing Way.
God’s Healing Way and God’s Healing Word go together. The former deals with the physical side offering hydrotherapy, charcoal, and other remedies while the latter concentrates on the mental and spiritual maladies.
About the Author: Dr Mary Ann McNeilus, a dedicated physician and medical missionary, was born and raised in Berrien Springs, Michigan. She pursued her education at Andrews University before obtaining an M.S. in Microbiology from the University of Michigan and an M.D. from Loma Linda University. Her medical training included a pediatric internship at the Mayo Clinic and a residency in pediatric hematology and oncology at McGill University. After marrying Marnelle McNeilus, she transitioned to Family Medicine, becoming board certified while working in Rochester, Minnesota.
In 1980, Dr Mary Ann and her husband answered a call to serve in Cambodian refugee camps through the Seventh-day Adventist World Service (SAWS), marking the beginning of their lifelong mission work. Their journey led them to medical service in Sudan and Ethiopia, where Dr Mary Ann embraced the principles of medical missionary work as outlined in the writings of Ellen White. Upon returning to the U.S., she trained at Uchee Pines Institute under Drs. Calvin and Agatha Thrash, solidifying her commitment to natural treatments and disease prevention.
Dr Mary Ann and her family established Mercy Valley Farm, a health retreat in southeastern Minnesota, where they provide holistic care, assist Amish midwives, and promote natural healing methods. She has also been instrumental in medical mission trips to Cambodia, co-authoring God’s Healing Way, a manual translated into over twenty languages to train gospel workers in health ministry.
With over twenty-five years of experience, Mary Ann has found medical missionary work to be a powerful tool for breaking down barriers and opening hearts to faith. Her passion lies in integrating physical, mental, and spiritual healing, pointing people to Jesus as the ultimate source of hope and restoration.
