We do apologize for the inconvenience, although the Travel Grinders function as intended, given Baja Gold’s natural moisture levels as an unrefined mineral sea salt.  For best performance, please pull up on the Grinder mechanism to open it slightly, which helps improve flow. 
 
Our Travel Grinders also arrive full, to provide as much Baja Gold as possible.  Grinder performance improves after the first 1/4 - 1/2" of salt is used.  Slight agitation of the Grinder also helps to loosen the salt for a more efficient grind.  

Emma also advises lightly baking the Baja Gold in the oven at around 300°F to lightly dry it out if the moisture level is not allowing the salt to come out of the grinder.
